Every year cold current flows in different parts of Bangladesh




Is the winter of wearing a sweater-jacket and shawl during the day gone? This end of December is usually known as bone-chilling winter across the country. Due to the fog, the traffic has to be difficult at this time. But for four days there is no feeling of mild winter except after afternoon. During this full winter there was no cold current anywhere in the country.


This time, the Meteorological Department has announced that it will be cold. Meteorologists of the organization say that winter may increase across the country from next Tuesday. At the same time, the intensity of the sun may decrease as the fog increases.
Explaining the reason for the decrease in winter for three to four days, meteorologists say that the water vapor coming from the Bay of Bengal has reduced the severity of winter a little. For four days, the temperature has increased little by little in different parts of the country. The sun is more intense during the day.
The Meteorological Department says that the temperature across the country may drop slightly from tomorrow. Winter may come again. Cold wave may start in different parts of the country.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, light to moderate fog may fall in different parts of the country from tomorrow Monday before the winter sets in. Especially in the river-coastal areas, the amount of fog may increase and the visibility may decrease.
Areas like Srimangal may experience cold spell. The cold current may spread to different parts of the country within two-three days.
 
Bajlur Rashid, a meteorologist of the Meteorological Department told Prothom Alo that the water vapor coming from the Bay of Bengal will decrease.
This may increase the flow of cold air across the Himalayas in a few days. At the beginning of the new year, the temperature may decrease and the winter may increase. Starting from the beginning of the month, the cold front may continue in different parts of the country during the first week. Along with that, the fog may also increase.
According to the observations of the Meteorological Department, the lowest temperature in the country was 11 degrees Celsius at Srimangal in Moulvibazar on Sunday. And the minimum temperature of the capital was 16.3 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperature was between 13 and 17 degrees Celsius in most parts of the country.
And the highest temperature was 31 degrees Celsius in Teknaf; That is, the temperature was almost like summer.
 
Meanwhile, as the sun has increased, the air quality has slightly improved in various parts of the country including the capital. Still, the capital's air quality is unhealthy.

Among the world's major cities, Dhaka was ranked fifth in terms of air pollution. The top polluted city was Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. It was followed by Bishkek in Kazakhstan, Sarajevo in Bosnia Herzegovina and Chongqing in China. All these cities had air quality as unhealthy as Dhaka.
