Excitement in Mirpur over buying BPL tickets


 


On Monday, excitement arose over the purchase of tickets for the BPL match at the Sherebangla Stadium in Mirpur of the capital.

 

At one point the excited people tried to break the gates of the stadium. Bricks were thrown at the police when they tried to stop them. Roadblocks were also attempted. Later they were dispersed by the police.


This incident happened around 12 noon today. Mohammad Makchuder Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Mirpur Division of Police, gave this information.

There are two matches on the opening day of BPL today. Durbar Rajshahi face Fortune Barisal at 1:30 PM. And Rangpur Riders face Dhaka Capitals at 6:30 PM.

According to the police, the ticket aspirants stood in a queue at the Mirpur Sherebangla Stadium ticket booth to buy tickets for the BPL match. At one point some people got

The police tried to calm them down. Then they threw bricks at the police. They tried to block the road. Then the police dispersed the agitated people. Later, the army arrived at the scene.

Mohammad Makchuder Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Mirpur Division of Police, said, "The agitated people have been dispersed to control the situation. Now the situation is calm.


On the other hand, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mirpur Police Station Ghiyas Uddin said, some people gathered at gate number two of the stadium for tickets.

Then the BCB people told them that tickets will not be given from here. Then the ticket aspirants started chanting 'fake fake'. Then there was a back and forth between the two sides.
